
Brooke M. Nicoletti is an NCATE Certified English Language Arts Teacher, grades 7-12. She also holds an advanced teaching certification in Gifted Education, grades K-12. She is currently employed as a sixth-grade English teacher at Southern Middle School in the Wilson School District in Sinking Spring, PA. Previously, she was an English Language Arts and Gifted Education teacher at East Middle School in Joplin, MO. At East Middle School, she was appointed 8th Grade team leader and served on the Leadership Committee.
She creates a learning environment enriched with a 21st-century curriculum to develop responsible global citizens. Her pedagogy is founded in cross-curricular, student-centered, project-based learning. The classroom procedures are rooted in Kagan Cooperative Learning strategies, and behavior management is centered on the Behavior Intervention Support Team (BIST) framework. Some of her most notable units include Comic Con Fictional Narrative and Career Research, among others. Brooke is passionate about teaching students skills that will help them be successful beyond the classroom. She is a dedicated lifelong learner and a self-reflective practitioner.
Her teaching has been enriched by her experience as a Student Affairs Professional at the University at Buffalo and Monroe Community College. She has developed an extensive skill set regarding student development and transition.
